I've been borrowing a battery from my dad's Ford for a year now and once my engine goes back together, it's time to get my own.

There are a crapload of brands out there and after researching, I'm getting a plethora of opinions on what is "best."

What do you guys run for batteries? I have no problem with shelling out $100+ for a battery, but I'd like to know what is worth spending that kind of money on. Can one really go wrong in that price range?

I don't run anything auxiliary. Just need a good, reliable "starting" battery, especially in the coming cold months.

Inquiring minds must know! Thanks for any input. :)

CCA. I like a battery with plenty of Cold Cranking Amps and lots of reserve. 1000CCA+
When it's -35 out I want power.

Brand? I buy from the same business every time. Used to be Battery Direct but they merged and now are Canadian Battery. They know what I want and never had an issue.

I say go big or stay home.

Interstate or Odyssey batteries if you're just looking for a starting battery.

I like interstate but they're proud of em.

I'm going to be going with an Everstart Maxx 27 this time around.
