Ebay has a ton of them that block a lot less light. $130-150 range. I do have to drill 2 small holes for the christmas tree clips, they forgot to put those in there other than it's perfect
I just ran mine straight to the battery. Didn't bother running it to the fuse box.
I'm hoping you installed an inline fuse
Hey RyGuy I'm considering doing a roof mounted and want to do a switch like you did. How does the switch attach? I'm guessing you had to cut out to mount it?
It's the same type of light switch as these

But it has a KC backplate to it. The backplate has some extra material that I ran across a belt sander to remove so it would sit flush.
question about switches. I have a push button switch that came with the wiring harness for my 42" LED light bar. I hate it because it just keeps falling off (2 way tape) I want to put a toggle switch in. My question is this. There are 3 connections on most switches..but I only have 2 wires. I'm no expert...so how do I connect the new switch and am I ok to just cut the wires going to the push button switch I have now to connect the new toggle switch?
UPDATE. I went to turn on my AC last week and it was blowing outside air, no cold air coming out. Took it in to get looked at and they informed me that when I installed my light bar I damaged the condenser enough that it caused a slow leak. So now I get to replace that.
DO NOT DO WHAT I DID.
