Went to install the 5100's tonite and 1.5 rear coil spacer. The spacer was a breeze. The 5100 not so much. How in the world are you guys getting these on with a 6" lift kit.

6" pro comp lift and trying to use 2.8 setting

Are you removing parts, buying different parts, or fabbing new parts to make them work? I was able to remove pro.comp strut but the bilstein 5100 is the same length but u lose the 2.8" of shaft to mount to strut spacer.

Would anyone be able to talk me through this. Super disappointed and at a loss on how some of you are doing this. Thanks

The bilstein strut shaft is not long enough to reach into the pro comp strut spacer if that makes sense

You have the bottom spring seat on the strut upside down it should be extending down over the adapter ring and covering the notches for the C clip.
Also, the shaft should reach the top of the strut spacer. It only needs to reach the top of the upper spring seat/hardware. Take the ProComp strut spacer off the upper seat to assemble the strut. Once that's done put the spacer back on. Ensure that you have the washer that came with the Bilsteins in the correct location as well. It goes on the shaft BEFORE the upper hardware. Not after up against the nut.

What about the 1-1/2 " spring spacer that comes with a 6" lift does that have to be removed?

Brandon thank you for responding so quick I really appreciate it and to the other gentleman as well. The way I installed the spring seat was how it was installed on the pro comp strut. Youre saying it needs to be flipped so it can cover the circlip grooves and also lower the coil spring seating position so the strut shaft will extend beyond coil spring. I take it that rubber spring seat piece will be reused and put back on top of spring seat after I flip it

Homebrew imo I think it's something else like brandon said. Little confused on what he said but will look at it after work. If I compress that spring approx 2.5 - 3 more I think this coil would be half size and ride like a tank. I'm not sure if it's even possible

Yes, the preload spacer that was installed on the OEM strut will not be installed on the Bilsteins if you upgrade to them. You use the Bilstein adjustment to set the preload for the additional height.

Now that I'm on a computer I see your problem.... You can't use that bottom spring seat. You need one from an OEM strut. The ProComp strut uses that seat as a preload device for additional height. With that on the Bilstein you're essentially trying to set them at 4" height if that makes sense. That's why you can't compress them enough to get the upper hardware on. Plus, like you said, it will ride like a tank and the front geometry will be completely out of wack.

Do you still have your OEM front struts kicking around?

Well that freaking blows as I have tossed them long time ago. Thanks for the help will try to find a set of OEM spring seats

Thanks again to everyone

Ordered two spring seats from Dodge today after work and got to thinking. If the pro comp spring seat also acts as a preload spacer will I gain an additional 2.8" of lift from my previous pro comp lift height or will it be less since utilizing a stock spring seat.

Here's how I would best describe my existing setup with pics

Pro comp strut spacer*
OEM rubber isolater ( very thin)
Then there is 2 pro comp pre load spacers
Then there is a black spacer piece which I belive is the oem shock tube cover piece
Spring
Them a plastic piece that sits on pro comp spring seat ( photo shown
Pro comp spring seat

Here's the lower black plastic/ super hard rubber piece shown sitting on pro comp spring seat. Not sure if that piece is stock or not. I'm thinking its stock

The two ProComp preload spacers won't get installed on the Bilsteins. Just the metal plate, rubber, OEM plastic spring seat, coil spring, and the OEM lower spring seat. Both pieces you have on the bottom (the plastic spring seat and the aluminum mount are part of the ProComp strut).

That lower black plastic piece is the oem isolator. Ordered two lower spring seats and got these instead

What's weird is all installs I have seen online I don't see them reusing this piece. This is the piece you're seeing sitting on the ProComp aluminium mount. I looked on ebay for used struts for 20p9 2011 and none of the pics have the lower isolator. Very very odd
