I have a low mileage ‘91 ram d150 318 EFI and have the opportunity to acquire a 1979 power wagon chassis. I’d like to swap the body to the 4x4 chassis. Is there anything I need to be aware of as far as body mounts go? Both are long beds.

That may not be a '79.... since it has locking hubs. It better have (or had) a 318 or 360 for the transmission to fit. You will lose your overdrive.

Fuel tank fitment is likely an issue. Use the tank and crossmember from the '91.

The listing didn’t specify which motor so that’s good info ask for. Much appreciated

Fulltime is np203.

The 5lug pattern changes between fulltime (5x4.5") and part-time (5x5.5"). See if the rear axle matches wheels.

What you might have there is an '80. That would explain the older fenders and part-time axle. The tcase would likely be the aluminum np208.

I hope you’re right, I would prefer a part time 4x4. If I can get out there this weekend I’ll take a close look
