I Traded in my 2017 Ram 1500 knowing the dealer would never understand what it did so it would be a waste to leave in the truck . Always worked like it is supposed to . $ 135.00 shipped to the lower 48

Anyone that has a Gen4 truck with the "Auto 4X4" (BW44-44 transfer case) button it's an almost must have!

For those who have the full time transfer case it will make it work like the part time case also. I forget TC model numbers . Those who need this pretty much know what it does, its well documented on the forum

With the BW44-44 transfer case the front axle power is transfered via a clutch. To make matters worse Ram varies the amount of clutch force based on wheel slippage, steering angle, etc.
This harness gives you the option to apply full clutch pressure when using 4X4 at the flip of a switch.

So, even with the dash switch in the "4wd Lock" position, the transfer case isn't truly locked?

Yeap, there's videos of shortcomings of the BW44-44 transfer case in action.

Correct. Like Crash68 said even though you put the BW 44-44 into 4W Lock it is still adjusted by computer and allows the wheel with less resistance to slip like an open diff. The switch Gary2 is selling is made by a forum vendor and it works great. Applies full power to the clutches eliminating the wheel slip.

Thank you all for explaining it . I could not remember the model number of the transfer case that needed it . I was a little short on time yesterday ...
