I just installed a RC 30" curved light bar in my Sport bumper. For those that have one mounted in the bumper, do you keep the plastic shield on it when not in use? I see the protection from rocks point, but it is a pain to take off with your finger tips. Just curious.

Now I got more questions! Got a link to the light bar?

Are those tow hooks I'm seeing?

Which grill is that? Did you have it paint matched?

Yes, those are tow hooks installed and yes I had the outer trim piece of the grille color matched to my truck

I keep mine on just because i like the way it looks plus protection is a plus. Be careful to not accidentally turn on with cover on because it will melt as you can see in my photo.IMG_20200923_062205.jpg

Good point. I chose a red light up rocker switch and mounted it up above my ignition button area so I can see it light up when on.

So, I read through the posts and my question back is: where did you mount the brackets? I have an idjmtoy 40" curved light bar and there doesn't seem to be a definitive mounting location on my Sport for the brackets and may have to fabricate something on my own to properly mount it. Also, can you show a pic of where you mounted the rocker swith? I've been trying to find something like the S-Pod for the Ram and it doesn't appear to be available any more but did find a few RC options but they're not exactly what I want. I also did see the AEV center-dash mount but am not a fan of it being up there either and looking for options.

I always place the cover back on my light when not in use and yes, its a PITA to take off...but its better than a broken light.

I made tow hook relocation brackets that pushed the hooks outwards toward the fog lights which then gave me just enough room to fit my 30" curved light bar. I then made new brackets for the bar which mounted to the tow hook brackets. I installed the switch to the right of the guage cluster. I will get a few pics and put them up here.
