So I've got a brilliant black 2015 1500 CC 4x4 Laramie on order, and I'm gather parts to install when it gets here. The plan is for black Fuel Throttle wheels, 20x9 with +1 offset, and Toyo Open Country AT2s, but I can't decide on tire size. What do you guys think about 35's vs 295/60/20?. I've been looking at pictures on the forum, and these two options look almost identical in the pictures I've found, but I doubt that holds true in real life. Truck will be leveled with Bilsteins at 2.8" and a 1" spacer in the back.

Is there a big difference in ride quality or noise between the two sizes? Looks like the 35 is 79 lbs and the 295/60 is 62, a considerable difference. Both are the "XT" extremes.

Go with the 35s, You would hate yourself if you don't. Lol go with a 10 wide wheel too while your at it.

I hear ya', but with a 10" wheel I have to get -12 offset, and those stick out too much for me with the stock Laramie flares. 35s on a 10" with -12 offset puts the tread out like 2" more than stock. :favorites13:

I've been looking at leveled trucks with 35's, and they look like they fit a little better on the trucks without flares like the sports and big horns. I guess the flares also close in the wheel well a bit, and that makes the 'stuffed' look worse. Some leveled trucks look great with 35s to me, depending on the tire, and others not so good...

Has anyone actually measured the width of a Toyo AT2 35? If they aren't really 35x12.5, I'd love to know about it.

Myself I would probably got with the 295/60. I think with just a level the 35's look a little to stuffed for my taste but everyone is different. The 295/50's are about 34.1 " or so and a few 1/10" narrower. It's more up to your preference.

I agree, with just a level the 34" tires look great. I am not saying 35's don't, because its all personal preference. Now if you add a 1.5" body lift or go to a 4" lift then I think 35's look right at home.

I just had 295 70 r18 on 18x9 0 offset installed today. They come out to be 34.2 X 11.7 or something. I have bilsteins at 2.1. They fit perfect no rub at all. I will be putting 1.5 bl on Monday just to give a little more room in the wheel well so it doesn't look too stuffed. Very happy with the tires they are cooper discoverer st maxx. Very quiet that's all I can say so far and they look good

Looking at the weight of those toyos, go with duratracs. They work amazing in the snow, I actually drove mine through knee deep snow and it had no issues! Plus their 35's are 10 lbs lighter.
