So are Carven mufflers ok to buy yet or not?

They have always been ok to buy, thousands of these mufflers never move just like mine .
Buy it and crank all the bolts down then redo it after acouple heat cycles.

Yes the issue was rectified months ago and there is no old stock sitting on the shelves. all units that are shipping now are good to go with no issues.

Removed clamp and cleaned up pipes. Put a bead of copper rtv around muffler pipe, and mid pipe. Put clamp back in place and tightened finger tight per instructions on package. An hr later torqued to "really damned tight" haha. Don't know what the clamp specs are, but didn't want to break bolts. Let sit for 24 hrs. Took it out for a drive a few different times today and so far so good. I'll post an update later in the week. What I find strange about the whole thing, is that for almost a year, the thing stayed put. Then all of the sudden I couldnt get it to stay in place. Possibly the expansion and contraction of the metal from hot to cold?
