So yesterday I am driving my 2013 1500 sport and decide to get mail and while fumbling for my mailbox key while driving I accidentally turned the key to Accessory. I quickly turned it back to run but the low voltage warnings came on and the check engine light turned on. Now everything works fine on the truck but the check engine light has remained on. Does it reset after a certain amount of driving or do I need to get a code reader to clear it?

Thanks

Having no clue as to what code set the light, if is a flip of the coin whether it resets after a few drive cycles or is a hard latch code.

I am of the opinion it is always good to have a code reader on hand for such instances. Shop around and you can usually find a basic cheap code reader for $20 or so.
