I have a 2004 1500 5.7l Hemi that has recently started chugging/stalling upon acceleration. after about 20 mph or 2500 unless eased into real softly. Has no problem starting, doesn't have a miss or a bad idle just when stepping on the gas. I also went to gravel and pressed on the brake and it breaks the tires loose without slipping in forward or reverse so it cant be transmission either. Any one else have this problem or know of any cause?

Sounds like a vacuum leak possibly. I would check vacuum hoses on brake booster and spray around the intake and see if idle changes. In the old days ether was used and the engine speed would increase. Water and idle speed decreased. Don’t overdo the spraying with either one.

Low fuel pressure. Might check the rail pressure. Should read 58psi.
