Code lookup

Hey guys I know you can see your trouble codes with the key on the cluster but I saw a thread on here and can not find it where the guy also did something with trip button on the cluster any help with that would be great

Turn the truck off, key in the ignition and just turn it off to on three times (not engaging the starter) and then leave it on. Codes will display on the dash where the odometer usually displays.
