Before I went with the PPE pan I looked into the Autotecnica pan as it looked the same as the Mopar pan except in aluminum. I went so far as to call Autotecnica out in California but after speaking with two people neither could guarantee the pan would work on a Ram truck. Both people I spoke with stated that many of the ZF pans are the same across various makes and models. They advised I call ZF and ask them so I did. After calling ZF which I believe is in MI or IL they put me in contact with their R&D people in Georgia. After a lengthy conversation with a very helpful engineer he said the same as Autotecnica. Almost all the ZF 8 speed pans are the same across makes and models but advised against using other than OEM because I was still under warranty and he felt it would be an issue if I needed warranty work. He did confirm that ZF is not in agreement with Ram that the fluid is lifetime and needs to be changed at 60k mile intervals. All brands of ZF 8 speed fluid are the same regardless if it’s labeled as Audi, BMW, Mopar, etc. So if RockAuto is advertising that Autotecnica pan as compatible with a Ram I’d jump on it as I’ve read in several BMW forums that Bimmer drivers like them.
