Engine balance

I want to install an automatic transmission in a 97 ram sport 1500 with a 318 , but the trans came out of a 2000 ram 2500 with a 360. The 97 has a manual transmission right now. I believe one engine is externally balanced and one is internally balanced. What’s my options?

the balance weight is on converter so replace with one from 318

No, the balance weight is on the flexplate for a 96+ truck. Trans goes right in, either converter. What you will actually have to do is remove the pan and do some sensor swapping to match the 2000 trans to the 97 harness.

You'll need the 97 solenoid group, governor pressure solenoid and governor pressure sensor as well as 97 neutral safety

360 is externally balanced. The 318 is internally balanced.
