Express 1500 rear view mirror radar mount with power

Anyone know if I can power my radar detector from the overhead console? I’m using a mirror mount and don’t have a power rear view mirror.

I don’t see why not, I know other people on here have tap power out of there for various things. See a lot tap power for a camera.

There are hardwire kits for dashcams and radar detectors, the wires are long enough to go up the A pillar.
