Extended cab boxes

The only box I can find to buy for an extended cab doesn't impress me, so im thinking about building my own. Has anyone built a nice box for an extended cab?.

My idea so far is an extension for the center console/ flip up front seat. It would be pretty much bell shaped and it would fit in-between where the back seat sends and the front seat ends and extend down. Im looking for around .4 cubic feet sealed for a single 8"

Anyone have any other ideas for sub boxes? It would be nice to see what some of you have built.

you are really limited to what you can use without losing seating space. Not sure on the 2nd gen but the 3rd gens center jump seat lifts up for storage and i have seen people using this space to put a sub box.

You might try looking for a truck box and see if it fits underneath the backseats or a front one

I built one for under the center seat it is a sealed box for a 10 inch built to spec for pioneer sub look in this forum I made a writeup and posted pics

I got a 12 in mine. Still need to cut down on the foam from the seat and install the flip down part.

I just did a a box for under the middle seat on my 3rd gen...check at the top of 3rd gen audio and you'll see it. Looks 100% stock and it sounds awesome.

I built a box that replaced the lower center console part in my '99.
I thought I had pictures, but I cannot find them.

I ran a single Comp VR 10, sounded great.

I built a 1.25 cubic ft ported box for a Ranger I had. It fit the center seat area in my Ram excab great. It is about as tall as the center seat folded down. With it even with the seats all the way back it clears the drink holders by about 2 inches. I have a Skar wvv 10 DVC in it powered by a JL Audio 500/1. It shakes the hell out of my ram. I'll try to get some pics of it. My old ram looks like hell but it runs great. Everything works & it has a loud clean system in it. I have a Alpine 9887 headunit running a active 3 way system. I have Morel M12 tweeters in the doors with a pair of Exodus Audio Anarchy 6.5 mids driven by a old school USAmps Merlin 42. I have to build my speaker grills to finish the install but it's sounding great. I have a set of Boston pro silk dome tweeters I plan to put on the pillars about 4 inches above the dash to bring my staging up & out front. I'm installing a system for a customer so my truck is on hold till I finish the paying job

mine fits under the back seat. Previous owner installed it though so no info on it. But it holds two 10"s and hits hard. Says Probox on the front.

Hmmmm i'm getting my subs and a box my friend made sent to me soon its 15x15x29, i cant think of a time ill ever have 6 people in my truck so its gonna be strapped on the passenger side no restrictive hidden boxes for me!
