finally got my heads on the way

there a guy on another forum running a 408 supercharged on stock tranny and he has not had any problems . id see what your tranny does with the mods 1st then go from there .

thats probably what i am gonna do. kinda slow goin here. gonna wait and go ahead and send the heads out and have them ported,polished,gasket match. i think i will be mad at myself if i donnt. not going to get it together in jan.

got a patc viper 2600 stal orderd today.

also changed my mind on my cam. orderd this one yesterday, instead of using the mopar r/t +10 cam i have already. just a little bigger one.i will be using it with my 1.7 rockers, to give it that little bit more lift. instead of it being .480 lift it will be .512 with the 1.7's.

and on the search of someone to do my heads locally. gonna make a few calls tomorrow. gonna get the build underway soon.

got the heads to the shop yesterday. gasket match, valve job, bowls blended, all the roughness taken off. supposed to make sure they are the same cc volume too.400$. gonna be a week or two before i get them back. they are super busy. the place is called watson and ruppel. about a hour away from me. they have a very good rep. i was there for a couple hours. lots of race engines around. thats all they do is race motors. i watched the guy that does heads for a few, working on a set of 440 heads.he said he's been doing heads for 32yrs.

i know this is worthless without pics, but i finally got my heads back from the head shop. the teardown and build should be started here in the next week or two. gonna try and get some pics of everything as i tear it down.
