Hey all. 2012 1500 Quad cab running 33x12.5R20 on the stock wheels and a 2'' (2.5''?) Rough Country level. Truck was this way when I got it and the tires, which I hate, are in need of some replacing. I personally hate how little sidewall I have with 33s on the 20s and would like to fit 35s. In searching around on here, I'm trying to find my options. Money's tight since I put a ring on in it. 4'' lift is obviously an answer, however will a body lift (3'') in combination with the level do the job? I've also seen the Bils talked up to a nauseating level on here so not sure if that will play in. Anybody have any pictures if so. Appreciate the help gents.

I’m definitely not an expert but from looking around I believe you can fit 35’s with just the level. Definitely would be able to fit them with 1.5” body lift from Zone. I think mine cost like $125 and you can do install yourself if you’re relatively handy

35s don't look much bigger than 33s wise on 20s . I did it and regret it as it still looks like a 2wd tire/wheel set up. 35s will fit with what you have but still looks like a big 2wd . Add the 3" BL then it at least looks more like a 4x4 . I have had most ever combo on the last 3 Ram 1500s and leveled with 3" BL and 35-12.50-17 looked the best . This is on reg cab short bed's which tend to make the tires look a little bigger than on a big bodied truck

I hear what you're saying. I haven't found a wheel I really like and given what I've done to the truck so far I don't mind the stock wheels, so I'll probably stick to the 20s. Just looking for more sidewall, the 33s look almost low profile. Fitting the 35s on just the level alone however I don' see happening. There would be little room for travel.

Seems you don't like the idea of bils? That and wheel spacers will allow the 35s you want

Tons of guys here running 35s with just a 2" level.
Bils set at 2.8 would be best and run a narrower tire so spacers are not needed.
