I was wondering what spacers everyone are using to fit 6x9's in the front door panels? I replaced my dash with some Kicker 3.5's and it made a world of difference so I want to replace my doors with some Kicker 6x9's. I've searched Cruthfield.com but can't find them(spacers). I have a 2016 Ram Crew Cab with the base non Alpine system. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I'd double check if those Kicker 46CSC6934's will fit in the front doors. Front door mounting depth is 2 3/4". Here is the mounting depth of those Kicker's, taken from the Crutchfield page:

You can buy spacers on Amazon or eBay. Or, it's easy to make your own. If you use MDF, I'd recommend coating with something like bedliner (maybe even Plastidip?) -- to prevent from moisture.

I bought some 1/2" metra spacer off amazon to install the kickers in the front doors. Only think it needed 1/4" really but got the 1/2" anyways to play it safe.

They'll fit, small spacer good to go.
My dealers install tons of them in Ram/Chevy

I used some 5/8” foam weatherstripping for mine. I happened to have some so I gave it a try. A year later and it’s still working great!

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas

Go to Walmart or something. Buy a plastic cutting board. Use that instead of MDF. Paint if you want to :)

Oh. I used Alpine R series 6x9's in my truck. Fit perfectly front and rear doors
