I pull a Monty fiver with my Ram 3500, 2020. The Montana High Country has no provisions for a trailer hitch on the rear and in fact, they say nothing is to be attached to the rear of the trailer. This isn't so with the Montana, but the Montana High Country is a cheaper model. Never the less I want to be able to carry a small motorcycle/scooter or attach my bike rack to the front of the truck via a standard 2" receiver. Can this be done without the addition of a large rack , (what I call a cow catcher rack, but I'm sure there's another proper name for it)? Will this add additional stress to the front end, say if the cycle is limited to 500 lbs? Does anyone have an innovative way to carry a scooter/cycle/bike on the front or anyother location?

I’ve got a Curt hitch in the front of my 1500.
I would think they’d be available for heavier trucks as well.
It is limited to 500 lbs though.

I also pull a fifth wheel and put my bikes on a rack in front of the truck. I have a CURT (part 31089) 2" receiver bolted to the front of my truck that the bike rack attaches to. Again though it does state it will only hold 500lbs of tongue weight. I might be a little worried if I added that much weight to the front of the truck. I had this same set up on my 2014 dually and it worked great. On my current 2022, this hitch doesnt stick out very far, and I feel I will have to weld on an extension in order for the rack to clear my front bumper.

Does anyone have adaptive cruise control, and does a bike on the front of the truck interfere with ACC working?
