$30 free shipping continental US.
This is the original antenna that came on my 2016 Ram 1500. I trimmed off 7" (was 31", now 24" not including threads), reattached the ball tip, and Plasti Dipped it black. Did this 2 years ago and the Plasti Dip is still in great condition. Mopar part number 56038725AC

No. Thought I'd get better reception going back to a full length but I don't... I originally trimmed it due to garage height restrictions at a previous home. But now I have a big ham radio antenna and thought I'd try going back to a full length.

How did you get the ball off if you don’t mind me asking and I’m not trying to hijack your thread.

No worries. It was a few years ago but this is how I did it iirc.

I had closed my vice around the shaft loosely so I could pull down and it would catch the ball. I did not close the vice on the ball. Then pulled down on the antenna and the ball popped off.

After cutting the shaft to length, it was thicker so I had to file it down a bit to fit the ball back on. Used some jb weld to make sure it wouldn't come off.

Damn, didn’t think about doing it that way. I have that same issue pulling in my garage.

Thanks again and good luck..
