Ok so I got my grill off no problem. And saw I sealant between the grill and hood. Anyone who has remove their grill and did you put any sealant before putting it back on? Thanks in advance

I saw that too when I removed mine, like some black soft foam looking stuff, some stuck to the hood and some to the grill. I just left it like it was when I put the grill back on. Not sure if it makes a difference or not.

I bought some black silicone adhesive sealant for mine but was too impatient to put in on my grille. The grille I bought was missing some but I put the grille on anyway. Haven't had any issues but I may add it before winter. Maybe a quick project tomorrow :)

My guess is they put it on there to stop the hood and grille from rubbing.
