hey all,

I need to replace a set of tires (longtrail ta's 265/65-17's)...I am looking for the grippiest tire I can put on to minimize 'spinnin' when I get on it from the gitgo. I am currently runnin my 20's (Nexen Roadian HP's) now which tract great (minimal spin from gitgo). But I like my 17's better so I'm looking for the best street tire (not DR's :) ) , I'm learning towards 275/60's because its a pretty wide tire. I want to keep the diameter strictly between 30"-31" because of my drop. Let me know what you all think...

-freddie :)

I just looked it up and the Nexens do come in the 275/60's size so that becomes the front runner at the moment...

I have Nexden Roadian on my truck right now, 265/70R17s, and I'm not happy with them. On rainy days, even with about 6/32nds left I lose traction pretty easily.

...good to know, I think you are running the HTXRH5's based on the size you listed, the ones I'm looking at are the HP SUV's which are different and the same as the ones I'm running on my 20's. it's very difficult to make these break loose...

I had the Nitto 420s in the size you asking about Greg. An I felt they were shorter an narrow then others in that size. Maybe general grabber in that size?
