I'll admit I have a set of cheap sockets in every car and truck I have, They may only last one use, but at 5.99 for the 39 piece set or whatever 5.99 is worth it if I'm stranded.

cheap tools saved me once when my old cadillac's waterpump went out
I changed it in the middle of nowhere between sa and houston with that same 5.99 set and only broke minimal sockets.

better than no tools at all RIGHT????:favorites13:

Exactly! Hell, I built the majority of my mustang using Harbor Freight tools because I was in college and basically broke.

I've bought all my powertools from HF and am starting to acquire more sockets and other hand tools from them too. I just bought a set of ratcheting wrenches...yep, lifetime warranty. I can tell you the ratcheting action is finer than on my either of my co-workers Craftsman wrenches.

I have a friend that swears by them. It's gotten to the point where he's torn up every other tool he owns and just replaces them with Kobalts. lol

My dad has craftsman when we had our boxes side by side we didn't want to mix tools so I picked up husky's from homedepot Im happy with them haven't broke a single socket or wrench I have broken screw drivers but who hasent? I have a hard time buying HF tools not that I'm a tool snob but something a cheep tool causes you way to much headaches. If I go on a trip I put a little tool box together to keep in the car.
