So everyone knows my wife bought me Long tubes for my birthday.
Thinking that maybe I could upgrade the gasket and bolts I jump over to summit and ordered what I've always used.
Always liking input from my Hemi family. What do you use? And why?
I bought the Percy seal-4 sure and stage 8 locking header bolts. I have never had a leak or a bolt back out with this system.
There's always something better and I know there people here that know wwwwwaaaaayyyyy more than me.
So post it up!

I use FelPro gaskets. They make mopars gaskets but as soon as mopar puts their name on them the price goes up. The FelPro's are the same thing only cheaper :D

Also, my one buddy who does cam installs and whatnot all the time, swears by them. I trust his judgement so I use them too.

Mopar has the best gaskets, and they can be had for under $20/pair

[

They charged me $18.00 for the left side and $28.00 for the right. They said they don't know why but that's the way it is...

Mopar gaskets with the Stage 8 bolts on the last truck; Mopar gaskets and stage 8 bolts on the new truck. Tried and true combo on the Eagle, pre-Eagle, and Eagle swaped heads with ARH LT headers.

I simply used the ones ARH sent me. No leaks yet 5000kms later.

Though I would have liked to keep a heat shield as well, cant remember why the stock ones couldn't go back on though.

It probably goes without saying, but just in case
...when installing SS into an aluminum head use a high heat anti-seize on the bolts.

I like the copper stuff that comes in a chap-stick like tube

Not familiar with the trucks, but on LX's with Hemi's the general rule is to throw out any gasket that comes with the headers and use a Mopar gasket, as people have had the best luck with them. I would imagine it would be the same for the Hemi in the trucks.

Coming from the custom Harley world I buy that stuff in the gallon jug... But I'm having them installed by my exhaust guy.
I'm sure he knows this, but will confirm Thursday morning. Just ordered the Percy's seal for sure for the collectors.

Whats the part number for the gaskets?

They are printed on the First image thumbnail I posted :D
(Last 6 digits apply only, I think the first four are dealer specific)
But may not be the same for all years (mine were for my 10' Hemi Ram)

Most dealers will ask for your VIN to look up the correct part for your vehicle

Use mopar gaskets and get the exhaust manifold bolts off a 6.1 car or 6.4.

I'd advise against copper anti seize or any in general on these bolts. Dissimilar metals are no good. Copper inside and aluminum head with a steal bolt not something I'd do.

Spark plugs with non copper anti seize is ok. Different opinions on stuff I guess. I just hate exhaust leaks and headaches with headers later on.

The trucks are a lot easier to get to compared to the cars. I usually would pull the heads on the cars instead of fighting them.

Hope this helps some.
