2007 ram 1500 5.7 hemi; heavy gray smoke from exhaust, here is a picture of the two spark plugs from cylinder #1, all others were ok. replaced valve stem seal on this cylinder, smoking was worse after that. Any ideas??
Head gasket? Those deposits look kind of thick to me and white smoke usually means that it's burning coolant. I would drain the oil out of the pan to see if it looks whitish, thick or chunky. At least that's where I would start. Welcome to RF.
I would do a compression test first, you may have a broken oil control ring on that piston. The plugs indicate oil burning, which should have been a blueish tint smoke, coolant would be white, or very light gray in color.
