Hey guys,
So I’ve had my afe shorties on my 5.7 leaking for the last 10k or so since I swapped out my cam and lifters back at 117k.
I’m pretty sure I have a leak at the block which I’m goong to fix with some new remflex gaskets but also pretty sure I over torqued the mid pipe against the oem manifold and maybe distorted the ball socket.
Any recommendations to help seal that up? Now that it’s <100° here in AZ I can’t deal with this leak sound anymore and am gonna fix it.
I know most sealants that close to the block will just disintegrate due to heat.
Thanks in advance
James
