If you find a chrome or stainless steel one you like you can always take it and have it LineX'ed.

Carid.com consolidates a bunch of products on one site...may find something you like there. I've ordered from them before and service was really good.

Problem ur gonna have is a bush guard won't help with a deer- But like a Fab Four/ ranch hand or a beefy one will. Just google aftermarket numbers ram 1500 and see what ya find-

I've seen the brush guards actually cause more damage than if there wasn't one attached. a small impact pushes the brush guard back and bends it into the lights, grill, hood and sometimes fenders. So takes a minor bumper damage incident to an entire front end incident.

You are correct, as a former Xterra guy Brush Guards were a no no as even the most minimal impact that bends the bar can potentially cause more damage than if the bar wasn't there in the first place.

You either get an ARB/Shrockwerks (Xterra) or something of similar caliber that is more robust and makes your SUV/Truck badass and serves it's purpose well.

Your super expensive bumper might still get dinged up but those are just battle scars :)
