I've read that other ask him to raise the idle to increase idling oil pressure. I also read about increasing the speed that the truck shifts into first gear to help with the abruptness at stop signs and rad lights. I would like that he send maps for 89 and 93 fuel because I run both fuels. Are these things that I should request? Can anyone think of anything else to inquire about?

I have 0 experience with him as a tuner or with tuning these things yet. I have a BUNCH of tuning experience with different companies. The easiest way to do it is to call them and just have a conversation. These companies do this kind of work all day every day and have seen it alllllllll. Im sure he would be more than happy to talk to you about all of your questions and concerns.

As said above ,speak with the tuning person directly. This Will help to avoid confusion later on. Lots of folks are switching to hp tuners, and dumping Diablo. As hp seems to offer more adjustability.

I had my 2014 Big Horn with the 6.4L tuned by Hemifever. I wanted the rev limiter increased to 5500, had the shift points under WOT raised to 4800, tuned using a Diablosport 91 octane base tune, removed MDS and lowered the fan temp sensor setting (Fan On) to 195. I think that's about it.

I did have a Magnaflow muffler and an S&B cold air intake on the truck.

I was very happy with the tune experience and the results I got.

Probably not a good idea.
I couldnt decided if you were busting his chops or the dumbest person to ever have a vehicle and a keyboard. Turns out I was failing to read.

I had him set my idle rpm to 650, fan on adjusted for a 190° tstat, transmission shift firmness was adjusted and shift rpm set to 6200 rpm. I run an 89 octane tune but you can still run 93 in it as well. If you are doing it for racing just remember you need to drain the tank and flush 93 through before switching to the 93 tune. I also had mds disabled.

Have him raise the speed limiter RPM,the truck will blow your mind on how fast it'll go with the speed limiter opened up,lol

I run his tune in my truck and on 2 prior 300cs. You can ask him for different tunes for different fuel.

Just make sure you dont have him tune 87 with 93 in the tank.

Might want to re-word that,as you got it backasswards.I think you meant to say don't run a 93 tune with 87 in the tank

Thanks for the advise. I will have him tune for the 180 degree thermostat that I installed.

I bought a Diablo tuner for my 09 gen 4 Hemi, tried every tune in the unit, 87oct, 89 oct, 91 Oct, MPGs, and ran each one for a month, and never noticed any gain in MPG, HP, or Torque, pulling a 33', 10K lb trailer, and with out, as far as I'm concerned, a waist of money and time

I'd say you're the odd man out then,i'm not a fan of Diablo myself, but most people do notice a gain with using the canned 93 tune and 93/94 octane fuel, over and above the stock tune and 89 octane fuel.

I did see a huge change in driveability and power from when I uninstalled the Edge Pulsar in preparation of the hemifever tune. I can't imagine it would be worse than the Pulsar. So, my hopes remain higher. Something doesn't sound right.
