Dealer is claiming this, and $480 to fix. Is this something I can do my self?

Is it the Schrader valve? I bought a tool that allows u to change it without evacuating the system. Very easy to do and way cheaper.

I have no idea exactly... I popped the hood and saw one of the lines was pretty dirty around the valve, I assume that is the bad one. AC works perfectly fine though.

If your truck is a 2014 or newer, you have 1234yf refrigerant. I doubt you'll even find the fittings to access the system, they are different size from 134a.
If the AC is still able to produce condensate, the charge is probably pretty close.
