I have em on my truck. However they are fully functional. With my suicide hood they help make sure its secure.

Back in California it was common place to see hood pins with small master locks on them to provent the thieves from doing midnight pick u parts on your rig at night.

Personally I don't think they are all that great... I'd rather keep a nice smooth hood that keep the rain/snow/ice out from the engine area...

i'm going to have to say no. my personal opinion is that i dont think they look all that good on a Ram. if it's security you're worried about, just put a chain and pad lock and conceal it.

Thanks guys, a friend of mine has them on his 70's model camero and on his s-10. They look great on the car but i just wasn't sure if they fit the truck as well. He has been trying to talk me into putting a set on my ram after i get it painted but i'm just not too sue yet.

If your going to put them on, do it before you have it painted

If you have a lightweight aftermarket hood then you should have pins because the factory latch may not work correctly

if they serve a purpose then i would say yes but if not it seems impractical.
