i have spacers properly installed on my 2500, and they thrash my ball joints to an extreme. brand new ball joints are toast withint 10,000 miles or less. once i have the funds, i will be installing spindles.

I would get spindles if I had it to do over again. Im pretty unhappy with the ride of the spacers (not the look though haha). Since the spindles DROP the wheels, essentially lifting the front, you have no change in suspension geometry which will not affect ride at all.

You MIGHT need new brake lines but with yours being under an 06, I think you will be alright. The 02-05s mount in a different position so it allows for more play.

Airbagit spindles are $300. Of course you need an alignment after that. But not bad IMO. For the cost of the spacers ($90ish) plus shocks ($150-200) you really arnt in that much of a different price range. Both can be installed in your garage.

stock spindle on the left, lift spindle on the right. the lift spindle moves the mounting point of the wheel 3" down, thus raising the truck up 3". everything else remains the same.

so, would i need new control arms with spindles?
still more or less leaning toward the rough country 3"... new springs and 4 new shocks for 300... dont think it would damage the truck that much either..

dude, bigger springs are basically the same thing as adding spacers. i would highly recommend new control arms and shocks of you go that route. if you do the spindles though, all you need is the spindles. all suspension remains in the oem configuration. no change in handling or how the truck rides.

if you want to go even higher though. you can do spindles AND springs, new control arms, and shocks. this will net you about 6" in lift.

the only reason i am leaning you towards spindles is because i have 2.5" spacers (which is basically the same thing as 2.5" longer springs) and i hate them. the angle it puts my control arms/upper ball joints is ridiculous. my ball joints are always thrashed. if i had to do it all over again, i would have saved up my money to do it right the first time. which is spindles.

OHHHHH, NOW I UNDERSTAND... SPINDLE IT IS!

Use Lift Spindles on STANDARD O.E. OFFSET Wheels ONLY. Using an offset Wheel other than factory offset causes stress on spindle shaft & bearings and they can break!!
so that means stay stock rims or get new rims with the same factor offset?

are your stock wheels the 17" or the 20"? if you have the 17's they have too much backspacing. spindles need a wheel with no more than 4.5" or backspacing. factory 17's have 5" of backspacing.
