How are the Mevotech UCA's holding up?

Just curious, if you need to change the ball joint on these does it still take the stock BJ? Or do you need to know the number for that too?

I didn't change anything, the shop just put them on they way they came

The new UCAs usually come with new balljoints. The new ones are usually better than the stock ones anyways.

Just had to replace both of the upper mevotech arms after 3K miles. Bils @ 2.8" and the ball joints are shot and locked.

Somebody else tried that and they told him they wouldn't powder coat due to the ball joints...fyi

Isn't the ball joint replaceable? Pull it before powder coat and reinstall after you get back....

Rock auto is replacing them, but I have stock ones on now that I just welded the ball joint in and they seem fine.

It rode "good" but when I was resetting my 5100's from 2.8 to 2.1 I cycled the ball joints by hand and it felt like there was a bunch of sand or something in it hanging it up.

I brought mine to get powder coated but they refused due to the heat needed to cure. I didn't want to damage the ball joint and rubber bearings by removing them. I ended up spraying a few coats of frame paint on them

I sprayed mine with a couple coats of VHT suspension paint. Hopefully itll hold up well to next years winter.

Received my Mevotech UCA'S, going to spray with VHT Chassis paint and install with bilsteins @ 2.8 this weekend , bought them from Rock Auto .

Anyone have any updates on their Mevotech UCA'S, rusting or ballpoint issues ?

@Cuyler Tech , did you reinstall Mevotech UCA'S or leave on stockers with bills @ 2.1? How is you setup holding up Sir ?

Just ordered a set to go with my shock level. I only plan on running at 2.1 when should i expect to have to replace the control arms again.

I got my mevotech ucas and like them a good bit. Curious though did you guys get anything to plug the greaseable point of the ucas? I didn't get a plug or anything for mine.....

Red scotch Brite , wipe down with acetone , tape where needed wipe down again spray light to medium coats of VHT Roll bar &Chassis paint , it's heat and corrosion resistant and requires no primer , per the directions it has a primer in it !

I highly doubt it ! I've only heard of one issue with them and the Vender ROCK AUTO warranty replaced them .
