Just curious on how common is there a problem with the Clock Spring
I have read about it a few times.
I

Just had mine changed at $529.00 for the part + labor :O
About average from what I have found !
They also changed a harness and switch ! on work order they stated the switch and harness did not solve it :O
Then the did the Clock Spring lol so they were fishing :O
But w/almost 100k on the RAM IMO good to change the parts while in there !

It appears to happen more than on other vehicles. It has come up here a number of times and I've never noticed it mentioned on other brand/model forums.
I had a 2014 V6 and around 70k miles the cruise control buttons started acting up only working sometimes. Tried the easy route swapping the buttons but nope, that was not it.

Like you said the topic does not seem to come up a lot on other car forums !
On my Car forum I read ab out the Clock spring once ! But I really can not complain much about my truck, The only other repair I needed was when the PCV valve went bad and the Throttle body was coated in oil at about -20*f
My V 6 is ago good motor
