Well truck at dealer. 2013 ram 1500 cc w/ 5.7 hemi and got in it this weekend and started it and nothin but click 3 times and then she started. New Battery a month ago and took to auto place had system checked thinking maybe a starter but all checked good. They suggested dealer due to ignition switch TBS issues, so that's why its there. Will see what they come up with.

Cable corrosion and or loose terminals or system ground to block and or chassis. Truck sounds new enough that none of that's really likely but I've seen stranger on newer.
Alternator may not be charging adequately but if she cranked over and fired up on the 3rd try. That sounds more like an intermittent connection issue.

The first sentence in perseus reply. Check those and the battery terminal connections. Especially since you just installed a new battery a month ago.

The click should let you know it isn't the battery. But for giggles, if it happens again did instrument cluster light up when trying to start it? I agree with Perseus, likely an intermittent issue from corrosion or loosened connection somewhere.

a couple thing to look at says these guys, ignition switch or transmission not reading park. I would be using my e brake all the time for sure.

I had the company that installed battery do a system check and inspection and alternator, starter and cables and connectios good. Can i order ignition switch and replace it without reprograming key phobs?

I don't have the answer for that, but my guess the new switch wouldn't change the way the FOB is read, so I would guess yes. No flash likely necessary either.

Look in the fuse box under the hood. Press down on all of the fuses and relays to make sure they are in correctly. Also if a relay is discolored or looks like it could have gotten hot, look up what it does and possibly replace it. Unqualified two cents here but sometimes simple works.

Any good , competent locksmith can swap out ignition switches pretty quickly and reasonably.
The folks in my neck of the woods can usually flash fobs if necessary, I would imagine the same is true for you. NAPA likely stocks that switch.
Not plugging for them , just been my experience.
