If you have any thought in your head about whether to go with 33s or 35s I'll throw out a quick opinion. I had a Jeep Wranger with a 4" lift and 35s. I loved the 35s, but in Colorado you have to emissions test your vehicle every 2 years. They use a dyno type machine where you drive onto rollers and they bring it up to speed and test the emissions. Not sure how many other states out there do this. They would not allow any tires larger than 33s on the emissions testing machine, so everytime I had to get a test I would have to rent "loaner" set of wheels and tires from a local 4x4 shop for $100, put them on, get the test, then take them off and return them. It was a full days pain in the ass for something that should only take 15 minutes and cost $20.

I just bought my first Ram and I'm really excited to start adding mods. I want to level it because I dont have the money for a lift. My only concern is how stiff is the ride going to be. If it is stiff would new shocks help? Also if I add 33's would i have to change gears or get a tuner? These might be stupid questions but just looking for some help, thanks.

If you have a 4x4 itll be a torsion bar front end and you can do a "free" level by cranking on the sorsion keys. I hot a level kit with new keys and did it in 30 minutes (smoke break included lol). It will stiffen the ride up a bit but hell its a pickup truck not luxury. I have an 02 4x4 sport edition and my gears are 3.93s and ive got no problem with 33s. But gears and a tuner help and a cai. Gears would be the last thing I touch.

35s would have fit but I wanted a little more articulation for now. When I do my 6 inch ill probably go with 35×14.50 trxus mudders. Mainly my hunting/mudding truck. Ive gone through some deep rholes and havent got her stuck... yet
