I have a 2017 Big Horn, 4WD, 3.21 gears, Eco Diesel. I plan on doing a Bilstein lift, right now at 2.8 with 2" in the rear & shocks, keeping OEM 20" wheels. My boy is a street king, but I do take it on the beach which is soft sand primarily, not hard. Looking for advice and personal stories regarding tire size (height & width), ride, fuel mileage reduction, do you have gear "hunting", etc.

Thanks all.

Unless you re-geared or somehow a freek build made its way out of the factory, you most likely have 3.55. The only two axle ratios from the factory for Gen4 truck w/EcoDiesel was 3.55 or 3.92.

I was wondering that. The build sheet says 3.92 but the sticker that was on the truck is hard to read...but it appears there was a dealer change to 3.21. Does this make sense? If the dealer did change, why? Thanks.

Don't go by the sticker, bring your vin to the dealership and have them print you the option sheet. It'll say on there. I can't imagine a dealer regearing a truck for any reason.

Unless the dealer swapped your front and rear diffs out for another customer, it's highly unlikely you have 3.21. The confusion with the window sticker is the standard gears for all trucks is 3.21 but it's usually not listed that the EcoD standard is 3.55. To further confuse some people, the optional 3.92 isn't always listed on the sticker... confusing isn't it...lol. Seen this many times on the forums.
The sure fire way to know what gears you have: get on the freeway and bring the rpms up to 2K rpms, with the transmission in 8th gear 3.55 gears will put you about 82 mph, 3.92 will be about 75 mph(this is with factory 33" tires/20" rims).

RPM at 2K puts me at the 75 mph range. Appreciate all your assistance with my confusion crash68!

I have a 4" lift on my 2016 EcoDiesel with 35 12.5 20's with no problems. Only thing I notice is that it will downshift a bit sooner on the highway than it use to, but nothing terrible.

Look under your driver side rear differential, there’s a sticker that states exactly what gear ratio you have.

here’s mine
