I have a 2011 RAM 2500 with a 5.7 Hemi. My problems started with steering gear box, pitman seals blowing out. So I changed gear box. In the process of installing the new box, I somehow must have moved the steering wheel cause now the clock spring is broken, no horn no controls working on steering wheel. I thought by removing air bag I could at least drive the truck until part comes in. But here is the problem, battery is dead and wont hold the charge, is it possible the broken clock spring is draining the battery off, or do I just have a bad string of bad luck, hence maybe needing a new battery or alternator.
