Question. Have 2005 1500. Would like to know. How much can i lower the front WITHOUT. having to change out a lot of parts. or going with a lowering kit. Looking at lowering it about 2".

2” you won’t have to change anything besides the springs and shocks, and could probably get by without even doing shocks.

All I changed was the torsion bar adjusters and used Belltech Shocks. On the rear, I purchased the 3" lowering leaf springs and also Belltech Shocks. I may try to get the front a little lower (like 1/2"), but the rear sits fine for me and I can still use the bed.

I lowered the front 4" with coils and control arms. The rear 6" with a Street Edge flip kit and shackles. Also changed the swaybar end links to shorter units (a Ford part)(K80337) Rides as well as it did before.
I replaced the 1 yr old Gabriel shocks with the entry level BellTech units. No difference in ride quality there.
I did ended up having to install a BellTech under bed frame notch because on pretty big bumps or hauling just a little weight in the bed the axle would hit the frame. Doesn't do it any more.

Cut 1 or 1.5 off spring. 123 easy and it's free. Just put new ISO's and neo bushings if your uncertain but not needed.
