Magnaflow y pipe installed

I just got my y-pipe welded in, haven't really noticed any performance changes. It did change the exhaust tone, it's a little more mild now than it was before, and maybe a tad quieter inside the cab.

Looks much better than stock. The Y-pipe is the type of mod that you know is helping because it is removing that restriction in the factory piping, but its not the type of mod that is going to throw you in the back of the seat. Looks like they did a nice job on the install.

That's a great mod. The stock y-pipe is pinched pretty good.

Someone over at another forum did a before and after magnaflow y-pipe dyno. They saw a gain of 8 RWHP.

I know on my 2008 it's pinched real bad. Maybe I can dig up a pic.

Oh yeah, I saw it alright. The pass side pipe coming down was damn near pinched in half where it met the other pipe at the collection point.

Wish I could find a place around me that would install for $120. Haven't gotten a single quote under $200, which I refuse to pay.

How did you decide which size to go with?

Stock Y both pipes pinch into one. Good idea to get rid of this right away and install the MAG Y.

How did you decide which size to go with?

I believe you need need part no. 10778. Dual Inlet 2.5 in., 3 in. Single Outlet. Just verify with Matt before you order.
