Issue: Feels as if the engine has a misfire and/or missing. When I start to apply pressure to the gas pedal I feel a shudder. Once I press the pedal further to apply more gas the shudder goes away completely. This is most noticeable when starting up a hill.
NO CODES
NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
SMOOTH IDLE
NO RPM ISSUES
So far I have done the following:
1. Changed out all spark plugs.
2. Changed coil packs when the new plugs didnt fix the problem.
3. Pulled valve covers and checked intake valve travel. All valves are moving up and down equally.
4. Performed oil change and there is no metal in the oil or filter.
5. I've ran fuel additive to clean injectors through the last two full tanks of fuel.
I Do not believe this is a bad cam lobe
Could it be a bad fuel injector? Again...no rough idle. Engine sounds fine when revving engine while in park.
Someone mentioned a dirty catalytic converter? The exhaust sounds fine...
Can a shop diagnose with equipment other than my Bosch code reader?
Any suggestions?
