I killed two threads on DT asking this question so I thought I'd bring it here since the lowered thread has been neglected for a while. The stock OEM 20" rims many of us like so well have a 5.75" backspacing, with the larger tires they rub with a drop greater than the standard 2/4.5 drop. My question is do the center hub of these wheels have enough meat to machine say 1/4" off the mounting surface? this would give the rim a 6" backspacing and added clearance for more of drop. Maybe someone can measure their hub or post some nice detailed pictures. Thanks,
