I don't get the lightbar thing. Do you guys off road a lot, hence the need for more light? I travel at night sometimes but can never run highs for more than a mile before meeting oncoming traffic...

Or is it just a cosmetic thing? Just curious.

I run back country roads where I might not see another vehicle for 15+ miles but the main reason I have the bar is hunting. I duck hunt a lot of farm pond so it's nice to pull up to the edge of the pond flip on the light bar and see everything while I'm setting my decoy spread.

The light u loose is minimal to tha output. I also have mine mounted behind the grill low enough that it delivers where it does not blind the vehicle ahead of me.a59625e384f776a6ecc76d7f3d1e86ef.jpg

That looks fantastic! What grill is that and how did you mount the light bar?

It's an EAG Raptor style grill, had to make up brackets to mount the bar. The brackets mount the bar directly to the outer bezel of the grill, so the entire thing can be removed as there was limited places to mount the bar directly to the truck due to the active shutters. The link in my signature has more details (page 2)

The reason for mines is I travel on back road sometimes and in the mountains passes and that extra lights would come in handy.

For those that haven't added a light bar to their Sport.
3x1" flatstock connected to the bumper bolt. I should have coated it since it's looking rusty now.

What length is that and how did you mount it. I'm looking at doing the same thing. Thanks

I used the two lower bolts that held the flipper vents and homedepot L bracket

Hey everyone. Great thread. I just read through the entire thread ( had some time today ). Love all the different setups. I'm looking to install a lightbar on my '16 express on my lower bumper opening after removing the plastic insert. My bumper opening is different than most everyone else's . The opening is bigger where the tow hooks would be and tapers to a 3" opening in the middle area. I'm guessing I would have to go with a slim single row light bar. I just wanted to see if anyone else has attempted this on this style of bumper. I saw someone else ask this, but I didn't see any responses. Just wanted to see some pics before I went ahead and did this. Thanks. Below is a photo of my bumper.

Amazon or eBay I don't remember, but any grill you like should work, you just need to cut the center cross
