What do you mean your mic gain affects your swrs?

The talkback feature is simply your voice going through your speaker when you talk.

I have played with it so little, I simply noticed that when the mic gain is wide open, my meter swings waaaay right. The meter might actually be measuring something else (power output?) - I haven't really played with - or read the instructions

- enough, to know what's going on with that feature.

To be an analog radio, it seems a LOT more complicated than the Uniden 980 in my Jeep!
