They are bolt on but the inlet of these tips is too large. Stock tailpipe is 2.25" (I measured). These tips fit 2.5"-2.75" inlet so a little bit of fab work was done. Added a 2.25" to 2.5" adapter pipe, then bolted and welded.on amazon they look like clamp on tips. Did you have them welded on?
Gibson does not make a direct bolt on 5" tip for the Ram tailpipes, so you would have to at least cut the flared edge off the stock tips, and extend the piping so that these new tips would sit flush with the bumper.Looks very good! So just to touch on your last post. If you buy the Gibson Tailpipe P/N: 500646-B, that would be a direct bolt on? Should not require in Fab work?
Thanks
Fabrication work to make those 5" tips fit my Ram? Pfff, not interested. Why doesn't someone make a simple bolt on exhaust tip that fit these trucks?!?
We do, but we only offer them in polished.
I'm not a patient fella. Carven "Pre-order", Moe's I would have to paint/coat. Got mine (Gibson 500647-B) ordered, shipping and installed (fab) for $218 and only had to wait 3 days for shipping.Hmmm.......So Moe's has the polished bolt on tips, and Carven has black 5" bolt on tips. Both are about the same price or cheaper than than trying to make the Gibson one work. Then why would you....awe forget it, never mind.
