Figured I'd finally make an account on here since I've been lurking for quite some time. Loyal Ram owner here from Michigan. First Ram was a 2001 1500 Quad Cab Sport Offroad 4x4 that I purchased used in 2002.
It was all stock with exception of going to 285 70 17 BF Goodrich A/Ts instead of the stock 275 70 17s. Absolutely loved that truck and planned to own it forever, but work decided to give me a car allowance, so I sold it and bought a 2011 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Outdoorsman 4x4 with Ram Box Option. Left it bone stock.
Back last November (2013), my dad picked up a 2014 Ram Outdoorsman and it made me a bit jealous so a few weeks ago I decided to upgrade from my 2011 and ordered myself a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Outdoorsman 4x4.
One of the main things I was torn about when ordering the 2014 was the option to get 20 inch black aluminum wheels. My decision was to go the aftermarket route. So....with only 600 miles on the truck, I put on the Bilstein 1500s set at 2.1, went with 17 inch MB TKO wheels (17x8.5 with -6 offset) and 315 70 17 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. I think it looks awesome and is my favorite Ram so far. Also have an A.R.E. Overland Cap on order, so I'll post a pic of that too once installed. Zone UCAs should be here in a few days too.
Sorry for the bad quality pics. This forum is great! I wouldn't have known about the ball joint issue had it not been for you guys.
