Hey everyone this is my first post. This is also my first truck. 2005 Dodge Ram Quad 1500 2WD. Ive always had sports cars, so Im new to lifting.

Im trying to decide on how high I want to lift it. So far it seems 6in would be good but I cant seem to find any pics online showing a stock truck next to a truck with a 6in lift. If anyone has some pic or websites, that would be great!

Also, What are some good brands and websites to buy some? Im wanting to get the different tires with it. I keep hearing about 35" Toyo tires? Not sure if that right.

Anyways, if anyone can help, Id love to hear any advice!

Thanks,
Jack

Thanks for the response. When you say 2.5" spacer, 2" add-a-leaf in the rear, and 1" body lift... You lost me lol. I thought I wouldnt need to do a body or add anything else if I just bought a 6" lift kit.

Love the tires by the way!

if all you want is 35" tires then all you'll need is the rough country 6" lift. Its cheap and great quality if you ask me. And if you want to go bigger you have the option.

The coil spacer sits on top of the coil spring in the front to add height. The add-a-leaf sits under the rear leaf spring to add lift, and the 1" body if just for that extra bit of clearance without buying a 3" body lift lol.

My truck started out with the 6" lift and 35's and it was great..... I yay wanted to go bigger lol

I like the set up! You got me tempted now. Are those 37x13.50x17 or 37x13.50x20?

Also, around how much did you spend for the whole set up?

Thanks

They are 37x13.50 20
And for the spacers it was $130
The add-a-leaf was $120
And the 1" body cost about $100
And with the cost of the lift brand new with shocks is only $900.

So about $1250 you can have the same lift as me.

Minus price of tires and wheels lol. Ebay a good place to go for tires and wheels? I found some 35x12.50x20 Open Country Toyo tires with Black Tuff wheels for around $2,100.
