Old key fob, new ignition switch programming

Do you need to reprogram your existing key fob when you replace the ignition switch? Is so, is it the same way you program a new fog?

many mobile locksmiths have a machine that can program your FOBs
the same mobile locksmiths have Vans, they can go to your location or you can drive to theirs.

They are a lot cheaper than the dealership

Up through 2008, the communication type was called CAN BUS B

starting in 2009, they upgraded the communication Network to
Can Bus C
That made several devices talk to each other through secondary computers & Modules
