Painting Bilstein 5100’s

Getting ready to install my 5100’s. I understand guys paint them before install. What type of paint are you guys using on them?

Guys paint the Mevotec UCA's because they're prone to rusting fast. Can't say as though I've read of anybody painting the strut body though. Not saying you can't, but no real need to, you can barely see them unless you crawl under the truck.

Bilsteins are coated and shouldn’t need paint

Bilstein’s look purdy as is. The Mevotech UCA’s get a little love to prevent rust.
