Damn that is starting to get into the serious upgrade status!
6k on a tranny
6k on a supercharger
1500- 2k on forged internals
I am curiousto see how the Paramount unit works out. Nobody else has been able to truly make the 545/65RFE last, so I'm hoping they finally have something going here.
Having said that, you can still make big power in a 5/6sp truck on the stock transmission. I had heads, cam, every bolt on you could buy, and nitrous on my 2011 Ram that still had a stock transmission that ran perfect at 83,000 miles. Knowing how to drive the truck to prolong the life of the transmission has been more important than the components in the transmission on the 5/6sp.
Dont do any wide open throttle downshifts out of overdrive, and you are good.
I also own a Grand Cherokee SRT and a lot of the SRT owners who are upgrading the motors (supercharger or turbocharger) go with the Paramount trannys. They have a good reputation with the SRT community.
For the price of bolt ons, you could have a blower. Hence why I’m not buying any bolt ons. Wait till it blows, then build a forged motor.
