If you traded in a car there is a perfect timing where the car u traded in will show as paid off and the new car does not show up in your credit yet, if u refi at that time u will get the beat rate, sometimes when u finance thru dealership there is a clause where u cannot payoff till after 90 days, i think its called early payment penalty

Yeah I did not have the early payment penalty clause in my finance deal and my credit score was high enough that the credit union where I've financed other loans through gave me the lowest rate they offered.

It did not matter to me what the interest rate the finance dept at the dealership gave me but based on my credit score it was a little insulting. Lol My credit union beat them by quite a bit.

I think its a set percentage if going w dealership w rebate, they go by how many months instead of credit rating

Question, if you order it from the dealership can you negotiate the same type of percentage off?
If your talking about a factory order, you bet you can. I have found that I get a better price on my factory orders because the dealer cost to handle, no flooring expense and no wait to sell time.

Almost all of the dealers around here start getting defensive when you start asking them to cut into their holdback.

Maybe an exception the very last day of the month and a sales goal hasn't been met.

I took the rebate for financing and plan to refinance after a few payments. Also I am not sure why people even look at MSRP. Look instead at invoice pricing and try to go lower from there to take into consideration holdbacks.

The dealership I purchased from (30 minutes away) has a dealer discount of 8,500 plus up to 6750 in rebates.
When I bought mine I qualified for 4500 in rebates which is a good discount overall. My local dealership and other surrounding dealership barely wanted to give 2k dealer discount which explains their inventory not selling

I'm in Austin and dealers within a 500 miles radius are doing $10-11k off of msrp on a Big Horn and 12-13k off a Laramie.

Anyone find these savings on a Rebel? I can't seem to find a dealer willing to do $10k+ off a Rebel.

If I don't find the price I want on a rebel, I may have to opt for a blacked out big horn.

Akins DCJ in Winder, GA has $10k off Rebel, if you don't mind the drive. $12k off Big Horn. I bought mine there, they were awesome to deal with.

Small world. I live less than 10 mins from Akins and go there for all the Recall maintenance. My father bought his F150 from there too. It’s a pretty good dealership to deal with which is uncommon these days!

I'm actually in North Alabama but made the drive over. Was glad I did. It was probably the best experience I've ever had with a dealership. Couldn't recommend them more. So much better than the dealers around here for sure.

Yep I got lucky to live so close to them! Their display is always sweet. Driving past it I always ask the people riding with me which jacked up ford or Ram they would drive and they always point to the ones displayed out by the road.

I got my truck for 47754.58 out the door, the sticker was around 58K. Was pretty happy with how easy to process was.

wow you get some good deals off the Laramine. I purchased the Rebel, went to three dealerships and the best I got was 12% off MSRP.

The Rebel and Limited will have different % offs I would think. As the trim level nears Big Horn there should be the deepest possible discounts. My perception during the summer when I bought a limited was that a solid under MSRP would be 13%-15%. I can see the Rebel would be even less. As 2018s phase out and 2019s become more common the real out the door pricing probably falls, and anyone who got in a new model year early will have paid the early adopter price in terms of dollars and mfg hiccups.

Asking or getting % off info should probably include at least a couple vehicle details, like order / on-the-lot, trim level, 4x4 and engine, and quarter of calendar year. I wouldn't really care about someone's Limited % from April 2018 if I was buying a Big Horn in September 2018.
